Brookside S.M.A.R.T. Robotics Team 6403 will be attending NEOTD 2018! Advisor Kevin Landis and a group of students from the team will be on hand to showcase their robots, demonstrate their setup, and present how they compete with their robots at competitions. The team will also be able to help other schools understand how they can get a robotics club started.
Brookside S.M.A.R.T. Robotics Team 6403 started during the 2013-2014 school year. It was decided that the Robotics Teams would compete in VEX Robotics competitions. With 11 students committed, the students were divided into 2 teams that competed in several State competitions such as matches at Zane State, Cleveland State University and the Ohio VEX State Championship.
Now with a team of students that ranges from elementary school all the way to high school, the Brookside Robotics teams compete in state and world competitions. In April, the team will be competing for a chance to attend the World VEX Championships in April.
The Brookside Robotics team will be at NEOTD 2018 to showcase the importance of a robotics club in schools and how the students benefit from this program. The team will also demonstrate their robots live in our exhibitor area.
